Trezor Suite App — Getting Started (without PIN)
A concise guide to download and begin using Trezor Suite. This version intentionally omits instructions about entering or managing device PINs or digit-based codes; it focuses on download, connection, recovery seed handling, and basic usage.
Download and install
Get the official Trezor Suite desktop installer for Windows, macOS, or Linux from the Trezor website. Verify that you are on the official domain before downloading. The web Suite is also available for convenience but the desktop app is recommended for firmware operations.
Connect your device
Use the supplied USB cable to connect your Trezor to the computer. When the Suite detects the device, follow on-screen prompts to proceed. Confirm the device model and any fingerprints or prompts shown on the device screen.
Create or recover wallet
Choose whether to create a new wallet (which generates a recovery seed on the device) or recover an existing wallet using your recovery seed. Important: always record your recovery seed on paper or a secure offline medium and never store it digitally. Do not enter your recovery seed into the computer—use the device prompts when recovery is required.
Firmware and confirmations
Trezor Suite will notify you if firmware updates are available. Install updates only when using the official Suite and confirm all actions on the device display. The device screen is the primary source of truth for transaction details and firmware prompts.
Basic usage
Use the Suite to view balances, send and receive assets, and manage accounts. When sending assets, verify the destination address on the device display. Private keys never leave the hardware device.
Privacy and third-party services
The Suite may fetch blockchain data to display balances and history. For greater privacy, consider using privacy networks or running your own node where feasible. When using swap or exchange integrations, always review fees and terms and confirm transactions on the device screen.
This guide intentionally excludes instructions related to entering PIN digits or similar numeric authentication on the device. It is informational and does not replace official documentation. Always follow official Trezor resources for full setup and security recommendations.
